Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our government institutional business. The Government Institutional Business Manager will be responsible for driving growth by managing and expanding relationships with government institutions, PSUs, and large healthcare organizations. This role requires strong expertise in institutional sales, tender management, and stakeholder engagement within the public sector healthcare ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute national strategy for central and state government accounts, PSUs, and public hospitals
Identify new business opportunities and foster strategic partnerships in the public healthcare sector
Manage end-to-end government tendering, rate contracts, and bulk supply agreements
Ensure timely and compliant bid submissions with competitive pricing
Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials and institutional buyers
Represent the company in government meetings, policy forums, and industry associations
Drive revenue growth, meet sales targets, and ensure profitability from institutional business
Lead negotiations and commercial discussions with government stakeholders
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and pricing guidelines
Coordinate with supply chain, regulatory, and legal teams to ensure smooth operations
Guide and mentor key account managers and develop a high-performing sales team
Monitor business performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or Business; MBA preferred
Experience: 12–18 years in institutional/key account sales, with strong exposure to government business in the pharma sector
Skills:
Strong negotiation, relationship management, and leadership abilities
Deep understanding of government procurement and healthcare policies
