In-Scrum Test Automation Developer (SDET)

What does a successful Scrum Test Automation Developer do?

You will support the development of automated tests to ensure software quality as a member of the Scrum team. You know the business cases in detail and the functional processes and how these need to be validated. The test cases will be handed over to the regression test team to be available for future releases. Therefore, the test cases must be documented and prepared for automated execution in the CI/CD pipeline.

What you will do?

• Develop of the manual and automated tests using BDD Cucumber

• Establish a test-driven architecture based on the given test requirements

• Define the tests already at the time of the business analysis

• Support and understand automation selenium frameworks

• Test execution as part of the sprint as well as support of the regression and integration tests.

• Create automated scripts for the execution of API, UI and other tests

• Support with the creation of test cases and help with estimating test efforts

• Coach other employees in the software testing.

What you will need to have:

• Degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics or comparable training or work experience

• Fluent speaking and writing in German and English (CEFR level B2 or better)

• Several years of experience in the field of software development and in the test environment of JAVA applications

• Very good knowledge in the use of the following tools: Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, X-Ray /Jira, GitLab.

• Good Knowledge on CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

• Knowledge of a relational databases, ideally Oracle

• Distinct professional experience in the IT area and collaboration in professional projects for software development

• Analytical and conceptual thinking skills

What would be nice to have:

• Knowledge of credit card processing and card payments would be an advantage

Übersicht der Position

Als Software Tester unterstützen Sie als Mitglied des ScrumTeams bei der Entwicklung von automatisierten Tests zur Sicherung der Softwarequalität. Dabei kennen sie die Geschäftsvorfälle im Detail und wissen, wie die funktionalen Abläufe funktionieren und zu validieren sind. Die Testfälle werden dann an das Regressionstestteam übergeben, um für zukünftige Releases zur Verfügung zu stehen. Dazu müssen die Testfälle dokumentiert und für die automatisierte Ausführung in der CI/CD Pipeline vorbereitet sein.

Aufgabenbeschreibung

• Erstellung der manuellen und automatisierten Tests der JAVA Anwendung

• Aufbau einer Testarchitektur basierend auf den gegebenen Testoptionen- und Anforderungen

• Entwicklung der Tests in der Entwicklung bereits zum Zeitpunkt der Business Analyse

• Unterstützung des Fachbereichs bei der Definition der Tests in Cucumber

• Verantwortung für die Testdurchführung als Teil des Sprints sowie Unterstützung bei den Regressions- und Integrationstests

• Erstellung von automatisierten Skripten zur Durchführung von API, UI und anderen Tests

• Support bei der Erstellung von Testfällen und aufwandsabschätzung der Testaufwände

• Coaching anderer Mitarbeiter im Bereich Software Tests.

Anforderungen:

• Studium der Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik, Mathematik oder vergleichbare Ausbildung bzw. Arbeitserfahrung • Mehrjährige Erfahrung (3 – 5 Jahre) im Bereich der Softwareentwicklung und im Testumfeld von JAVA Anwendungen

• Sehr gute Kenntnisse bei der Verwendung folgender Tools: Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, X-Ray, SOAP-UI, JMeter sowie Jenkins, Gitlab, Git, Gerrit

• Wünschenswert Kenntnisse in HP UFT, Allure, Source Tree, Serenity BDD

• Kenntnisse in einer relationalen Datenbank, idealerweise Oracle

• Fließendes Deutsch und Englisch in Wort und Schrift (CEFR-Niveau B2 oder besser)

• Kenntnisse in MS-Office sowie Kollaborationstools (Jira, Confluence)

• Kenntnisse aus dem Umfeld der Kreditkartenverarbeitung und Kartenzahlungen von Vorteil

• Ausgeprägte Berufserfahrung und Mitwirkung in professionellen Projekten zur Softwareentwicklung.
