Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institutionA minimum of two years’ office or administrative experience OR a possess a Bachelor’s degree Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldExperience supporting a recruiting or HR department in a high-volume environmentFamiliarity with applicant tracking systems Understanding of basic HR compliance and onboarding practicesExperience coordinating interviews, travel, or candidate communicationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiencyHigh level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive informationProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word)HR Administrator
Howmet Aerospace has an opportunity for an on-site HR Administrator in our Whitehall, MI location! Reporting to the Employment Manager, this role provides essential administrative support to our high-volume Talent Acquisition team. The HR Administrator will play a key role in managing candidate activity and ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process through a wide range of coordination and support tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS)Manage candidate statuses and dispositioning within the ATSOwn the job requisition process, including data input, manager coordination, approvals, and job postingSchedule interviews and coordinate candidate travel and expense reimbursementConduct initial candidate phone screens Issue visitor badges and coordinate onsite interview logisticsConduct professional reference checksCoordinate and track pre-employment requirements (e.g., physicals, background checks)Assist with internal audits and documentation for compliance purposesEnsure accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive candidate and employee informationOther duties as assigned
