As the Group Manager for Mechanical & Thermal Engineering, you will play a key role in developing the team and building capability & capacity to deliver various programs within Electromobility. You will lead a talented team of engineers to develop cutting-edge technologies and solutions that propel Electromobility forward. Reporting directly to Director, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our growth and success.
The team is responsible for design & development activities of the Mechanical & Thermal Parts within the Battery system & High Voltage components such as housing, covers, brackets and Thermal components like manifolds, cooling plates and connectors while ensuring that these components meet the overall technical requirements of the System & Sub-System together with the attributes that rely on those components.
By understanding customer usage and product performance, the team provides solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle, from idea investigation and concept evaluation to industrialization and maintenance. They are involved in technical decisions towards projects and suppliers, making sure that deadlines are met with the right quality and cost.
They work in very close co-operation with Function owners, Simulation Engineers, System engineers and Test engineers within Electromobility. There is also an important interface towards the Vehicle installation. They work with cross functional teams from different parts of the organisation locally & globally.
We seek a well-established leader with a proven track record working in a global environment, pushing the boundaries to get more value. Your extensive domain knowledge in product development, Mechanical and Electrical system knowledge in the electromobility context. You thrive on teamwork, leveraging your skills to influence and empower others constructively and collaboratively. Using great communication skills on all levels, you are also a natural speaking partner, fostering networks, building trust and managing stakeholders through courage and integrity.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize the waste and bring in more efficiency
• Balancing the Capacity with the workload, Budgeting & Infrastructure impacting the team.
• Excel in Stake-holder management and system thinking approach towards problem solving
• Manage the Competence development together with Performance management for the team members and support the team members to build employee journey from Aspire to Inspire.
• Master’s in Mechanical / Thermal / Electrical / Mechatronics related disciplines.
• Experience in leading people and working with global organisations
• At least 15 years of experience in Electromobility, involving complete product development and lifecycle management.
• Extensive background in technology strategy and planning, including prioritization and budget allocation. Preferably, also possesses knowledge in advanced engineering coordination and sustainability
