The Culture & Partnerships category is multifaceted engaging a broad spectrum of collaborators (Consumer and Customer, Marketing, Sales, Corporate Relations) and diverse group of rights holders, agencies and suppliers. Stakeholder needs are often complex, unique and strategically important, requiring executive level engagement within Diageo and externally.
About the Role
The prime accountability for the role is to ensure that our brands have the opportunity to engage with the most relevant and powerful cultural and partnership platforms, helping to drive effective creative excellence across Diageo’s brand portfolio, and ultimately driving brand performance. The role will engage a global community of passionate leaders in this category area, across procurement and marketing, to develop a One Diageo approach to Culture and Partnership engagement. In addition, the role focuses on ensuring the commercial elements of the investment in this category are implemented brilliantly and in service of minimising duplication, delivering economies of scale and maximising the value and usage of creative output.
Key Accountabilities
Partner with our marketing and brand teams to develop a cultural collaboration model for Diageo, that identifies through a needs-based approach, optimal cultural collaborations and partners for our brands, ensuring leading edge measurement and evaluation.
Nurture a preferred roster of the world’s biggest cultural powerhouses, rights holders and agencies
Drive brilliant commercial partnership outcomes for our brands, creating maximum value through innovative commercial constructs.
Oversee and consult on the annual culture and partnership work plans for Diageo brands, building for optimal value
Establish a global Diageo culture & partnerships community, creating a one Diageo approach to the category
Actively engage and immerse in the world of culture to identify current/future trends and what is on the horizon, bringing this back to Diageo and informing our future strategy where appropriate
About You
This is the perfect position for someone with experience in marketing, marketing procurement or with a marketing serviced company (agency).
You will be able to demonstrate strong marketing and culture understanding and ability to engage marketing stakeholders with a passion for creativity and good understanding of how creativity engages and builds brand saliency.
Your creativity will also extend to how you identify and develop smart commercial relationships that focus on optimising value.
Proven leadership credentials, influential skills and strong project and change management capabilities will set you up for success in this role.
