Position Summary:
The Global Logistics Analyst primary role is to analyze and improve Advanced Energy’s logistics operations, focusing on streamlining supply chain processes, reducing costs, and enhancing efficiency through data collection, analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Freight Rate Management: Manage RFQ and Spot quotes, analyze and negotiate with carriers to obtain competitive rates, build relationships, and secure volume discounts. This includes ensuring appropriate service levels and reliable transit lead time to meet customers’ needs. Provide Freight and Hub computation requested by business managers for customer RFQ. Routing Guide: Create and publish an Internal and Supplier Routing Guide which serves as a shipping reference for Suppliers and AE Shippers. Freight Cost Management: Collect, monitor, and analyze monthly freight spending on all import, export, and intercompany shipments versus budget. Contract Management: Manage Master Service Agreements from creation to termination, ensuring all parties fulfill their obligations and adhering to agreed-upon terms, encompassing activities like negotiation, execution, monitoring, and renewal. Manage TMS (Transportation Management System): Monitor and ensure that all essential data are available to plan, execute, optimize freight rates and movement of goods using the best transportation mode ensuring timely delivery and efficient operations. Training Lead Create and maintain training needs and materials for the shipping and procurement teams (e.g., Use of Routing Guide, Claims Process, Billing and Booking Process, etc.) Cargo Claims: Handle filing of cargo claims from carriers and forwarders whenever there is freight loss or damage in transit. Monitor and track losses and damages for carrier performance evaluation process. Vendor Code Set-up: Creation of Vendor Code in SAP for new Logistics Providers. Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain reports and metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) (e.g. On Time Delivery Performance, Monthly Market Updates, Cargo Claims, etc)
Qualifications
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, or computer information systems, or a related field. Minimum of two-year Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role.Skills Required
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions. Critical Thinking Skills: Ability to identify and resolve logistics and supply chain issues. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate findings and recommendations effectively. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of the logistics industry. Understanding of Logistics Processes: Knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management processes. People Skills: Ability to work and influence others from different functional areas. Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis tools/ logistics management software (e.g. SAP and other relevant software). Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI) and other relevant software.
