And so much more.​   ​Come break through with us.  Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. **Scope of Position** The Global Inventory Manager will own Corning's OCS inventory strategy, planning processes, and optimization initiatives. They will lead the Supply Chain organization and work closely with product line management, commercial, technology, engineering, and manufacturing leaders to ensure inventory objectives and customer service targets are achieved. They will lead the creation, implementation, and improvement of the inventory strategy. **Main Responsibilities** • Governance Framework Lead: Partnering with cross functional leaders to analyze and communicate the supply impact of strategic business decisions for optimal trade-off • Engage in inventory management throughout the product life cycle enabling strategic decisions that prevent Slow Moving and Obsolete materials • Participate in the Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) process providing input to supply and demand plans ensuring optimal inventory decisions • Leverage advanced customer access to lead the creation and optimization of E2E inventory strategies • Utilize Lean SC methodology to continuously improve inventory strategies • Engage product teams to drive accountability of projects & objectives by fulfillment model guiding principles • Guide the creation of yearly objectives with Global SC staff and lead global initiatives to achieve targets • Assess and lead optimization of global inventory planning and replenishment progresses across the Supply Chain • Participate in large scale supply chain programs critical to long term strategy • Sponsor regional inventory projects and be informed of local projects **Required Qualifications** • BS/BA in Supply Chain or Engineering or Business Degree with relevant experience • 6 years of experience in progressive SC roles [must have planning role] • Active participation in the S&OP process • Demonstrated project management • Ability to influence and lead indirectly • Strong analytical skills **Desired Qualifications** • APICs Certification • Certification in Lean or Green Belt • Extensive use of SAP in planning and/or buying **This position does not support immigration sponsorship.** The range for this position is $135,540.00 - $186,368.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
