Global Governance & Risk Director Job ID 219120 Posted 09-May-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Legal, Risk Management Location(s) London - England - United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland **About the Role:** As a Risk Management Director at CBRE for GWS Enterprise Accounts, you will direct, plan, and implement the business strategic guidance on risk management and loss prevention programs, working into the VP Operations. The role will also provide governance and oversight of the GWS Global Supplier Program Program, The GWS Supplier Program aspires to be world class in terms of outcomes and governance and be a contributor to CBRE GWS product differentiation for our customers. The role is responsible for the overall governance of GWS supplier programs deployed globally, regionally, and locally. This job is part of the Legal Compliance job function. They are responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance that balances business and compliance solutions to inform the company of options and risks. What You’ll Do: + Coordinate and manage the activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff in sectors. + Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain the Risk Management infrastructure for GWS EA. + Facilitate, coordinate, and educate the company, business unit risk owners, and other key corporate personnel on the processes and related tools and techniques. + Support executive management in their respective risk/insurance efforts, as required. + Serve as a member of operating Risk Management committees, as requested. + Monitor, aggregate, and report results of Risk Management activities. + Seek out innovative risk management training and technology awareness programs. + Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance. + Execute Governance for Supplier Partner Program at Global, Regional and local level in accordance with CBRE core ‘RISE’ values. + PMO the Supplier Program governance ensuring necessary meetings, documentation, reporting are effective globally + Drive continuous improvement of the program governance and management utilising technology where appropriate. + Develop and communicate governance documentation and processes for multiple aspects of the program working with multiple Departments and stakeholders e.g compliance, finance, legal and commercial. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal. + Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department. + Significantly improves and changes existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline. What You’ll Need: + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Knowledge of Supply chain and procurement processes, relevant legislation and leading practices with significant experience in a senior procurement role. + Experience working with and influencing a broad range of stakeholders - customers, supplier, internal and at multiple levels including Executives. + Proven ability to collaborate across multiple functions, aligning stakeholders and their outputs to common objective. + Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems. + Proven capability of effectively program managing indirect reports, especially leading and working with cross-functional teams. + The ability to work with and influence a broad range of customers, stakeholders and supplier staff at all levels including executives. + Customer focused and with communication skills - written, oral - comfortable presenting to small, large audiences. + Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
