As a Gas Turbine - Aero & Heat Transfer Design Engineer, you will be responsible for activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. Also, you be responsible for activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components which requires Comprehensive in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles in the own part of the function
You will provide technical contribution towards New Product Development. You will be an expert in gas turbine thermal and secondary flows design as well as strictly collaborate with combustion, aerodynamics
As a Gas Turbine - Aero & Heat Transfer Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Performing Aero-Thermal studies on Gas Turbine comprising of flow path across stator & rotor componentsDeveloping 1D, 2D & 3D models for Aero-Thermal studies, using analytical calculations with inhouse and commercial tools while using the domain knowledge to make design decisions.Perform Aero-Thermal model updates based on experimental outcomes and perform data validation and subsequently support the cross functional Mechanical design team to know components durability.Should look out for IP opportunities within the project scope or other and prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides competitive advantage to the businessParticipate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviewsCollaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve program and business objectives.Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consisted with engineering policies and proceduresFuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Master’s in Mechanical, Thermal & Aerospace Engineering from reputed Institutes with 1 to 5 years of relevant experience.Have knowledge in Heat Transfer, Fluid dynamics & Numerical methods closely related to turbomachinery designHave extensive knowledge of thermal design processes for gas turbine components.Mandatory Tools required: Ansys Workbench, UG NX ; CFX ; Fluent ; Microsoft Excel ; Microsoft Power PointTools exposure: ICEM CFD ; Auto-grid ; SIMCENTER ; Flow Simulator ; PythonOne-dimensional flow network solvers knowledgeWork in a way that works for you.
