Your mission, roles and responsibilities Overall responsibilities and duties:

The Director of FORVIA University in North America is a strategic role leading Learning & Development for the region. This role provides vision, support and service to bridge the gap between our managers and professional’s current knowledge and goals, as it relates to their functional expertise, leadership, and behaviors into a context of large business transformation.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead FORVIA University in NAO (United States, Mexico, & Canada) to address FORVIA’s strategic transformation in terms of competencies, behavior and cultural change. Translate the strategic shifts of the business into learning solutionsPlanning and tracking FORVIA University Budget, working together with the finance team to meet the yearly goalsLiaise with internal customers  in each Division in regards to FORVIA University deployment & follow-up of training programs and establish monthly network meetingsLead a team that organizes, monitors and evaluates training programs to enhance training efficiencyDrive Digital learning, social collaboration and transformation in North AmericaLead and communicate a vision for innovative learning technology; including usage and application of that technology.Manage digital learning course development project plans from inception to completionWork to benefit from the Eco system of FORVIA University in other regions (Asia and Europe) to share best practices and build consistency where appropriate.Work with Subject Matter Experts and others across the organization to design & develop digital and classroom learning resources.Act as the main contact with external suppliers and ensure that the service provided meets organization and individual needs and expectationsServe as internal trainer for multiple training sessions in North AmericaAnticipate and assess potential learning needs; propose adequate training in order to facilitate internal mobilitySchedule, organize and deliver University offeringsSupport other HR and Talent Management initiatives, including employee engagement, as needed.Participate and/or take the lead on global projects in partnership with the Global FORVIA University organization.Your profile and competencies to succeed

Minimum education level:  Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience :

10 + years working in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or related fieldExperience working with a variety of Learning Management Systems and technologiesExperience driving the development and deployment of learning technologiesAbility to build business partnerships and influence others without formal authorityCritical thinking and problem solving skills needed to analyze business needsProject Management and organizational skills necessary to drive projects to completionOutstanding presentation, communication and interpersonal skills needed to work in a collaborative, team environmentInternational mindsetWillingness to travel to meet with HR partners and internal customers to better understand their needs; 10% of the timeCommitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to FORVIA’s Code of Ethics and Code of ManagementFluency in English required
