Formulation Technician II - 12hr. Nights
**Work Schedule** 12 hr shift/nights **Environmental Conditions** Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Laboratory Setting, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Office, Rapid flashing lights, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Various outside weather conditions, Warehouse, Will work with hazardous/toxic materials, Working at heights **Job Description** Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. values top-quality pharmaceuticals. As a Formulation Technician II, support Drug Product Division. **Key Responsibilities:** + Ensure pharmaceutical products are manufactured in strict accordance with area SOPs and current cGMP standards. + Verify and document production activities meticulously in batch records, logbooks, and controlled forms. + Perform assembly, disassembly, and operation of manufacturing equipment such as fillers, cappers, freeze dryers, tray loaders, vial washers, stopper processors, sterilizers, filter integrity testers, and more. + Assist with the initial and subsequent validation of filling equipment and processes. + Maintain and clean classified areas, including the aseptic core, to ensure a pristine environment. + Troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently to minimize downtime. + Engage in On the Job (OJT) training programs, prioritize safety, and participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives. + Train and mentor new employees to foster a knowledgeable and skilled workforce. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent required (Biowork certificate or Technical degree preferred), with 2 years of regulated manufacturing experience, or + Associate's degree in Science, Engineering, or similar field with 1 year of experience, or + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Science, Engineering, or similar field with no experience required. + Demonstrates the Thermo Fisher values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement. + General mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge. + Knowledge of aseptic cleaning, aseptic gowning techniques, and good documentation practices. + Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, basic math skills, and computer proficiency. + Physical capability to lift, carry, and move weights of 25-50 pounds, occasionally pushing and pulling 50-100+ pounds.
