We are seeking a Formulation Scientist to join our Advanced Cleans & Slurry Technology (ACST) R&D team, based in Dongtan, Korea. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative chemical formulations for semiconductor surface preparation and cleaning solutions, partnering with global IC manufacturers and internal cross-functional teams. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
 

Develop and Improve methodology to simulate customer in line test results, formulating chemical products to solve customer technical challenges, presenting data to customers, and communicating with customers to develop new products

Develop chemical solutions to the engaging customers to meet the technical requirements on semiconductor cleaning or treatment solution. The engaging partners are mainly but not limited to R&D/production functions within Global IC FABs.

Collaborate across functions—including marketing, customer applications, application, quality, scale up engineering, manufacturing and EH&S etc—throughout the product development cycle to deliver the robust products to the market  

 
Qualifications:  

Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science (or Master’s degree with 3+ years relevant R&D experience).  

Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle—from ideation to commercialization. 

Good communication in Korean and English

Good project management skills, teamwork spirit

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in electrochemistry or analytical methods for chemicals/polymers is a plus.  

Experience with post-etch residue removal (PERR), selective etchants, post-CMP (PCMP) cleaning or semiconductor clean chemistry is a plus.
