Job Summary
Conduct prototype development work using various IFF product lines and provide technical services to Korean customers in order to support IFF business in culinary as required to meet the IFF business objectives.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead culinary projects in preparing various application samples using existing products, recipes and/or processes based on needs of our customers as well as enlarge IFF solution/concept pool for future business opportunities. The target end product shall be soups (noodle, bouillon, retorted soup), and sauces.Provide timely technical support and knowledge, using our flavours, seasonings and food additives for internal or customers’ base, with prioritisation based on customer status and project business impact. Specifically:Professional & timely responses in line with agreed timeframesAccurate & detailed technical project work and associated reportsCost effective approaches and solutions to technical support projectsRun laboratory trials referring various formulation library, as required.Ensure all activities are in line with IFF policies, business strategies and Global Innovation Rules as well as safe, hygienic and efficient day-to-day operations of the culinary laboratory and facilities.Regularly update and maintain technical self-note into relevant IFF databases that the company may develop and introduce from time to time.Commitment to all company’s policies, rules and regulations and IFF quality and continuous improvement programsAttend and contribute to relevant knowledge meetings and various Company local and regional conferences, trade exhibitions and business meetings where required.Assist and support line manager for projects/Technical-Service-Requests development and project/lab management.Require to share knowledge with others and presenting IFF products’ knowledge and application technology to internal/external customers.troubleshoot in design formulation/ processing related issuesConducting assigned technical related projects with minimal supervision, together with group leader and any other tasks or projects assigned by the Group Design Leader.Responsible to ensure raw materials and flavour samples are well stock with fresh condition.Ensure bench to batch design and smooth commercialization of new winsCOMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Minimum -Degree in Food Science or Food related fieldAt least 3-4 year of relevant industrial experience in processed foods, ready meals, food ingredients, flavour industry or equivalent.Previous good experience in designing product formulation of processed foods (noodle, bouillon premix, sauce etc), ready meals or equivalentGood understanding of food ingredients/food additives, and manufacturing process, would be highly regardedGood knowledge of food ingredients, including:Raw material knowledge, especially food additives and flavours, etc.Product development (incl. culinary seasoning formulation) Processing parametersUnderstanding of commercial factors that affect product cost and selling priceGood communication skill in oral and written manners- including in EnglishWilling to travel within our sub-region and region as and when required by project or businessComputer literate & comfortable with IT System or ApplicationLogical, methodical, and analytical thought processes Proactive and self-motivationAccuracy and attention to detailsAgility to adaptTechnical problem-solving skillsPlanning, time management, organisational skills and influencing skillsWe are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
