This individual will be a key liaison for software coordination, communication, and management of engineering elements between Parker aerospace OEM customers in China and Parker Fluid Systems Division (FSD). The position will play an important role to ensure the proper software development processes per division requests, customer requirement from Chinese OEMs and Airworthiness regulations, and then to ensure effective and efficient completion of program milestones related to Fuel & Inerting System software. This position will be located in Shanghai China. Job Responsibilities: The individual will serve as an on-site software engineer to participate in and support aircraft products research and development activities, including but not limited to, requirements management, documents configuration control and distribution, software verification, lab tests, flight tests and certification management, production support, etc. Detailed as follows: + Solve/Support technical issue discussion/meetings related to FSD software, Aircraft avionics, controller and/or software management, and communicate from technical perspective between the Parker team and OEM customers in China. + Create/compile software documentation as required to satisfy contractual deliverable requirements. + Provide engineering support and reporting on software problems/defects, metrics, risk analysis, software verification and testing in customer labs, review/audit meetings required by customers, sustaining manufacturing and maintenance work coordination on Parker FSD’s behalf. + Track and follow up technical action items and keep good records of communications between all parties. Capability to address software problems is also preferred. + Work independently as a team member in support of completing assigned responsibilities. This individual will work under the supervision of the Engineering supervisor/manager. Qualifications: + Fluent English/Mandarin skills in both verbal and writing for effective communications within multi-functional teams, comprised of different divisions, aircraft suppliers, airworthiness or PAC functions. + Development of real-time, integrated modular avionics (embedded systems) and the associated certification issues. + Software Requirements definition and documentation. + Software verification and documentation to include test plans, test procedures, test reports. + Digital data bus software design experience, and familiar with ARINC protocols (AFDX, ARINC 429, etc). + RTCA DO-178B/C experience is required. RTCA DO-254 experience is a plus. + Experience with software configuration management tools, software development tools (SCADE) and software verification tools. + Familiar with Language C/C++ and good knowledge of assembly language. Development experience with C/C++ is a plus. + Knowledge of the fuel & inerting system components and controls. + BS degree in software engineering, electrical engineering or related technical fields. Advanced degree preferred. + 5+ years of software development/test experience in aerospace or related industries.
