**Who we are** We specialize in IT configuration management, helping organizations enhance software product recognition and version detection. With expertise in BMC Discovery, we collaborate closely with internal software managers to refine technical requirements and implement effective solutions for lifecycle management. **What you'll be doing** + Configuring and programming BMC Discovery to improve software product recognition, including version detection. + Conducting interviews with the client's internal software managers to identify relevant software products for lifecycle management. + Clarifying technical recognition features (e.g., installation paths, version detection) for BMC Discovery. + Implementing, testing, and documenting software recognition patterns within BMC Discovery based on interview results. **What you'll bring along** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a comparable IT qualification. + Minimum 3-5 years of experience in working with BMC Discovery product from BMC. + Strong expertise in pattern programming in BMC Discovery (Python-based proprietary programming language). + Basic knowledge of operating system platforms, including Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris, MacOS, and z/OS. + Basic understanding of version detection methodologies. + Excellent communication skills, with the ability to conduct interviews and collaborate with stakeholders. + Analytical mindset and attention to detail for pattern development and testing. + Ability to document processes clearly and concisely. + Excellent command of both written and spoken English, German would be nice to have **What’s in it for you** ✔ New beginnings can be a challenge.
