Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager

As the Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing key areas of accounting.  Responsible for developing accounting policies, procedures and controls and implementing accounting systems pertaining to assigned functional areas. Also responsible for providing technical accounting guidance and training to the organization, and ensuring accounting positions are appropriate, thoroughly communicated, and in compliance with the established accounting framework. By applying your expertise in accounting and finance, collaborating with key stakeholders, and driving process improvements, you will help ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

You will report to the Assistant Controller in Cranberry Township, PA. This is a hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of financial reports, including internal financial statements and reporting packages to third parties.Provide technical accounting research/documentation on new accounting guidance, acquisitions and divestitures, business matters and disclosures for changes impacting the business.Develop and maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal control documentation and company procedures.Oversee month-end close accounting and reporting for certain assigned areas, including leases, fixed assets, and payroll.Partner with cross-functional teams and business units to support financial requests, analysis, and reporting.Lead efforts to improve operational efficiencies and strengthen internal controls.Collaborate with auditors, providing documentation and support for key accounting areas during interim and annual audits.Coach and develop accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Participate in special projects and facilitate ad-hoc reporting requests.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with a minimum of 7 years of experience.Prior management/supervisory experience required.Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting and application, including ASC 842 and ASC 606CPA preferred.Strong communication and leadership skills.Outstanding PC skills and Excel knowledge.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Working knowledge of SAP or other large ERP system preferred.
