Experienced Maintenance Electrician

Pay Rate: $35.00

Shift: Rotating 6:30am-6:30pm

As an Experienced Maintenance Electrician, at PPG Thomasville Road Pavement Markers, NC plant, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people’s lives!

Primary Responsibilities

Follow and comply with all safety standards including PPG Life Critical Rules.Provide safe and timely electrical support. Confer with supervisor on job assignments and preventive maintenance, TPM events and maintenance work orders.Analyze, troubleshoot, replace and install electrical DC controls and AC controls Power distribution troubleshooting and electrical installationsTroubleshoot and correction of equipment Programmable Logic Controls (PLC’s)Suggest, design and upgrade existing equipment controls Develop, create and keep current all electrical documentation. PLC programing and modification of programs and devices Ethernet I/O troubleshooting and setupEquipment electrical safety control installation, repair and troubleshootingWork from complicated drawings, blueprints, worksheets, and other related documents.Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment.Participate in continuous improvement activities

Qualifications

Associate’s degree preferred or least four (4) years of manufacturing maintenance experience. Technical background in manufacturing, a plus.Thorough Quality and Safety demonstrated knowledge, a plus.Computer Skills – Office Windows proficiency is required.Demonstrated leadership, along with strong inter-personal communications skills required.Occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds;Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision;Regularly required to sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear;Frequently required to walk and occasionally climb stairs;Occasionally required to squat, stoop, bend, kneel, twist, scoop.
