Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Laboratory Setting, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Job Description

How will you get here?

This position is ideal for an experienced service engineer wanting to be involved with a dynamic team and exposed to a constant variety of customer application areas.

 

EDUCATION

Typically requires a University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in electronic system problems analysis.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

2-5 years of hands on technical experience installing, analyzing problems, repairing and calibrating complex analysis tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB or similar systems.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Requires proof of Covid-19 vaccination.Must have a thorough understanding and extensive experience troubleshooting and repairing ultra-high vacuum and high voltage systems.Ability to partner effectively with customersExcellent interpersonal communication skills; must have a professional working proficiency in EnglishProven ability to troubleshooting complex systems and subsystems down to component levelLiterate in MS DOS and Windows software environmentsAble to read and interpret schematicsFamiliar with UHV phenomenon and technologyMust have ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as requiredMust be willing to travel 70% of the time. Often on short notice, to customer sites to resolve problems or support other field service personnelMust possess a valid driver’s license, passport and US VISAPhysical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
