Join Our Team as an Engineer for Load Capacity and Vehicle Architecture - Gothenburg
Are you ready to make a significant impact in the automotive industry? We are seeking a passionate and innovative Engineer to join our Load Capacity team, focusing on the complete vehicle level for FH/FM/FMx products and the full Renault range. In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of change initiatives, influencing solutions for components and systems from the very beginning. You will contribute in shaping our weight roadmap, ensuring it remains current, and proposing enhancements to optimize load capacity. Collaborate with a diverse network of professionals both on-site and across various locations to drive our mission forward!
In this role, you will participate in weight network meetings to generate and implement weight reduction ideas, collaborate on the weight roadmap, and support engineers with material and installation queries. You will conduct competitor analysis, perform performance reviews for load capacity targets, and participate in or lead cross-site network initiatives while helping to develop tools and methodologies for weight management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and geometrical architects to provide essential prerequisites for project success. Your expertise will support all areas within GTT and occasionally extend to other AB Volvo business sectors.
• Weight Management: Participate in our weight network meetings to brainstorm weight reduction ideas, initiate projects, and monitor their implementation.
• Roadmap Development: Contribute to the weight roadmap, collaborating with fellow weight architects to track and analyze weight development, providing valuable insights for continuous improvement.
• Technical Support: Assist engineers with material and installation inquiries related to components or systems, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and Volvo's internal standards.
• Market Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis and performance reviews to assess the fulfillment of load capacity targets.
• Network Leadership: Participate in or lead our cross-site network, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Tool Development: Innovate and enhance our tools and methodologies related to weight management.

Qualifications:
• Experience in weight management and materials.
• Familiarity with legal requirements is a requirement and it´s a merit if you have knowledge regarding Volvo's internal standards and design guidelines.
• Automotive experience is a plus, especially with AB Volvo.
