Electrical Mechanical Technical Support Resource $41.30 – $42.55 Per Hour

Job Description

Normal Hours:    3rd shift – 10pm – 6:30am, M-F

Note: Hours and scheduled days are subject to change based on business needs.

Selection Process:   This position will be awarded to the best-matched candidate with the skill and ability to meet the job requirements as determined by an interview process. The interview process will address the characteristics, attributes, and skills necessary to successfully perform the job.  Plant service will be the determining factor if skills and abilities are determined to be equal.  If no best-matched candidates are identified, outside candidates may be considered.

Job duties will include but not be limited to the following:       

Primary Function:  To provide an advanced level of technical support in all areas of the production facility including but not limited to the troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical and electrical problems on various high-speed filling and packaging machines.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluating and troubleshooting equipment utilizing electrical schematics (American & European) as well as mechanical drawings. Troubleshooting and repair of Servo and Frequency drive applications. Writing, troubleshooting, and modifying PLC Logic for Allen Bradley Controllers. Support Processing specific technical issues including but not limited to level probes, pressure transducers, and flow meters. Utilize Rockwell technical support to resolve complex technical issues in all areas of the plant. Update electrical panel layouts as needed to enhance operations and simplify troubleshooting procedures. Be proficient with Rockwell software, RS Logix, RS Linx, Factory Talk view, RS View 32.

Other Support Responsibilities:

Works directly with outside vendors and Engineering Manager to support project implementation plans. Supports plant wide RCFA / Problem solving activities that impact Reliability and Breakdowns. Supports Process Transformation Systems and activities. Supports activities surrounding the Center for Excellence Maintenance Asset Improvement / Action Plans and strategies. Supports the training and development all resources in CfE and Operations. Supports the CfE equipment standardization strategies.

Maintain a safety 1st mindset and approach to work. Actively make observations of potential hazards and report through appropriate channels. Perform all duties safely & use discretion to prevent injuries to self and/or others.

Quality Responsibility:

Allow quality to be second only to safety. Must comply with all GMP's. Actively make floor observations of potential quality risks and report through appropriate channels

Minimum Qualifications:

2-year Technical degree or equivalent experience. Currently Tech I qualified and can pass the current Tech I and Tech II tests. Currently Tech II/B technician level or greater, and can pass the current Tech II test. Must complete Tech IV step up card within 12 months of being awarded the bid for pay increase and to maintain the grade level. Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment, and work effectively with all plant associates. Self-directed and motivated individual with a positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills. Has demonstrated the ability to Lead, Coach, and Train individuals on technical competencies.   Demonstrated high level of communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills.
