Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Health or Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental 5 or more years of experience in the field of Environmental, health and safety or 4 years of EHS field experience and 2 years of field experience in continuous improvement / project management. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment. eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Must be able to lift/move 30 lbs. (may not exceed per EHS policies). Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to wear a respirator. Must be able to wear Safety toe shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses. Must be able to not wear loose clothing. Must be able to use ladders.Benefits/Salary:
The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $74,000 to $101,000.
Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking an EHS, Engineer at our aerospace manufacturing facility in Fullerton, CA.
Responsible for managing programs, policies and practices related to Health, Safety and Environmental. Acts as the facility coordinator and contact for internal customers and external agencies for all matters pertaining to EHS.
Additional Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of general OSHA Regulations, Fire Department Agency Knowledge of Environmental Permits: CUPA, RCRA, Sanitation District Permits, South Coast AQMD, Water Boards, Los Angeles Department of Public Works, Knowledge of Health and Safety Programs (i.e., Powered Industrial Trucks, LOTO, Fall Protection) Knowledge of Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement tools.
