Role Summary:
As the DLT Engineering Lead, you will guide the design, development, and evolution of the core blockchain protocol. You will lead a team of protocol engineers, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to align the protocol’s direction with business goals. Your leadership will be pivotal in scaling our infrastructure for enterprise-grade applications and ensuring compliance with the highest security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the technical design and evolution of blockchain protocol, ensuring scalability, performance, and privacy.Manage and mentor a team of protocol engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Conduct deep analysis of blockchain/DLT networks and contribute strategic insights to improve protocol stack.
Spearhead development of privacy-preserving features using zero-knowledge proofs, state channels, and advanced cryptographic techniques.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Security, Compliance) to ensure alignment on protocol requirements.
Oversee code reviews, security audits, and performance benchmarking.
Contribute to open-source projects and represent technical forums and consortia.
Maintain documentation and ensure best practices in version control, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
Strong background in blockchain/DLT technologies such as Hyperledger Besu, GETH, Fabric, or Canton.
Solid understanding of core blockchain components including consensus, P2P, networking, and state management.
Expertise in cryptography, including digital signatures, encryption, and key management.
Knowledge of Merkle Trees, zero-knowledge proofs, and group signatures.
Proficient in back-end development with Go, Rust, or Java.
Experience in architecting distributed systems at scale.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience developing and deploying EVM smart contracts.
Knowledge of consensus algorithms (Raft, Paxos, QBFT) and P2P protocols (gossiping, DHTs, NAT traversal).
Experience leading Agile teams and managing project delivery.
Familiarity with Node.js, Typescript, and JavaScript.
Prior contributions to blockchain-related open-source projects in the Ethereum ecosystem.
