Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist LATAM will be responsible for sourcing and managing a portfolio of raw materials across the region. Reporting to the LATAM Senior Procurement Manager, this role is essential to ensuring cost-effective, timely, and reliable supply aligned with Lubrizol’s strategic goals. 

The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong engagement with key suppliers, and delivery of value through contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and market intelligence. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week on-site at our São Paulo office.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Elaborate and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories such as specialty chemicals and commodities.
•    Develop and manage relationships with regional and global suppliers, acting as a representative of the Lubrizol brand. 

•    Support cross-functional business needs through close collaboration with operations, supply chain, quality, and technical teams.
•    Analyze market trends and risks to support business continuity planning and category strategy development.
•    Lead negotiations, implement contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and regional regulations.
•    Identify and deliver cost savings opportunities while maintaining quality and service levels.
•    Track key performance indicators and contribute to procurement reporting and dashboards.
•    Support sustainability, diversity, and innovation goals in the supplier base.

Desired Background and Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field. MBA is a plus.
•    Minimum of 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the chemical or manufacturing industry. 

•    Familiarity with TPM (Third-Party Manufacturing) is a plus.

•    Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
•    Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
•    Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
•    Demonstrated sense of ownership, integrity, and customer focus.
