POSITION SUMMARY
Leads the design process strategically, with focus on efficiency, cost effectiveness and accountability in producing interior design projects reflecting current interior design trends and hotel brand standards.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
§ Leads the Interior Design Program, with effort focused on educating, guiding, and influencing customers as a hotel brand products and services.
§ Expected to lead others within the discipline or as assigned.
§ Maintain and implement strategic ideas to efficiently lead and evolve the interior design discipline in the continent.
§ Responsible for the Hotel Design Review presentation to key executives.
§ Partners with Brands to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions to drive the business needs of the brands in support of their strategic growth goals.
§ Leads the design and project management for the responsible brands, for both standard and customer design facilities giving a solid pipeline of sustainable projects.
§ Supports the department leader and functions as backup in their absence.
§ Represents the company at the highest level as the ‘face of the hotel band’ at conferences, trade shows.
§ Leads collaborative product development, design integrity standards and lessons learned effort related to brands.
§ Liaison with developers and Operations to negotiate property brand assignment.
§ Continually monitors current business processes, makes recommendations, and implements approved changes as required.

Education/Experience:
§ 4-year degree from an accredited interior design program or construction project management preferred
§ Minimum 10 years experience in in Interior Design and Project Management preferably on hospitality projects.
§ NCIDQ certificate preferred.
§ Professional association membership preferred
§ An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
§ Experience in the disciplines of interior design, product specification, understanding of procurement.
§ Experience in interior design, construction and/or renovation processes.
§ Experience in managing the development of scopes of work, estimates of cost, bidding and contracting, procurement of materials, and scheduling management associate with the renovation and/or conversion and/or construction of multiple lodging properties and owner relations.
§ Bi literate in Spanish and English or in Portuguese and English
