As a Development Chemist in fouling control, you will play a crucial role in the research, development, and modification of formulations designed to prevent the growth of unwanted organisms on the hull of a ship. You will conduct product development in line with current legislation and anticipate future legislation. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of providing effective products for the marine segment.

Key Responsibilities
Work independently and collaborate with global cross-functional teams, including other chemists, product and project managers, regulatory affairs, and factory for new product design and on-time delivery of project objectives.Conduct research and development of fouling control formulations.Evaluate the efficacy of fouling control products.Identify alternative raw materials and cooperate with suppliers.Support technical complaints.Support in activities related to Product Stewardship.Maintain test facilities and equipment.Maintain oversight on developments in academia and in the market related to fouling control to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.Communicate clearly, present to technical and non-technical audiences, and document results in written reports.Qualifications
HBO/ MSc in Chemistry/ Materials science/ Polymer science or related areas.+3 years fouling protection experience (biocidal antifouling or fouling release experience) or similar areas (medical or food industry), formulation, lab work experienceAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAn excellent command of the English languageDoE knowledge is advantageousDriver’s license is advantageousPPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
