Demo Engineer
The Demo Engineer is responsible for overseeing the logistics, setup, maintenance, and operation of demo equipment used during marketing events and trade shows. The Technician designs, installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs computer hardware and other technical equipment! This role ensures the smooth operation of hardware systems, helps identify and resolve hardware and software-related issues. This role ensures that all equipment is properly prepared, functional, and ready for demonstration to prospective customers. Collaboration needed across BU, marketing, and sales stakeholders for logistics coordination, event support, and demo development. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + **Demo Design, Installation & Setup:** + Assists with the demo design, procurement, installation, and assembly based on initial requirements to create robust demo stations + Includes the Concept Designs in CAD Design software, custom metalwork, and fabrication. + Ensure proper setup of hardware systems and their integration into existing infrastructure, including software imaging and storage. + **Equipment Management and Inventory:** + Oversee the inventory of all demo equipment + Ensuring all equipment is tested and functional prior to events + Track hardware lifecycle from installation to decommissioning, ensuring all equipment is accounted for. + **Maintenance, Repairs and Troubleshooting:** + Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on hardware equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime during events. + Diagnose and resolve hardware issues by conducting tests, related to computer systems, peripherals, and other devices. + Inspects, repairs, tests, modifies and improves electronic equipment, parts, and systems. + **Logistics Coordination:** + Plan and coordinate the shipping/ transportation of demo equipment to and from event venues. + Manage the setup and teardown of demo equipment at events, ensuring adherence to timelines and safety protocols. + Create contingency plans for technical or shipping issues. + **Collaboration with Event Teams:** + Work closely with the event planning, marketing, BU, and sales teams to ensure demo equipment aligns with event goals and objectives. + Support presenters and other team members with the proper setup of equipment for live demonstrations or presentations. + Gather feedback on equipment performance and ensure that any issues are addressed promptly. **Who You Are:** + Demonstrated ability to support cross-functional projects and manage multiple stakeholders. + Strong communication; adept at managing high-pressure timelines. + Clear, confident communicator who thrives under pressure and can collaborate across technical and event teams. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for key event support (approximately 10%).
