We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Crop Supply Agronomist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing the supply of raw materials from growers, negotiating contracts, and providing agronomic support to ensure high-quality crops that meet our purchase specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture/horticulture, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a positive and continuous improvement mindset.

As a Crop Agronomist at Kraft Heinz, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on producing food of the highest quality, that is dedicated to delivering exceptional results and making a positive impact on the environment and our communities. Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Identify and negotiate contracts with key grower suppliers
Develop and monitor planting plans and schedules to ensure timely supply of raw materials
Provide agronomic support to growers, including advice on crop management, weed, pest, and disease control
Ensure high-quality crops that meet purchase specifications and customer requirements
Collaborate with the Agricultural Manager and other departments to achieve business objectives
Develop and maintain close working relationships with growers, contractors, and industry partners
Analyse data and provide insights to inform business decisions
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to optimize crop yields and quality
About you:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture – a degree is preferred
3+ years of experience in the agriculture industry
Exceptional and proven technical knowledge and experience
Postgraduate experience in commercial vegetable or arable crop production systems
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Positive and continuous improvement mindset
Willingness to work in a collaborative team environment
