The Latam Commercial Director (Country Manager Latam) for Leica Biosystems is the top executive responsible for driving the overall success of the region, with total access to the C-level and other relevant decision makers of our Key Accounts and Customers, by developing, implementing and integrating growth strategies for Leica Biosystems along with our associates across all product groups of Advanced Staining, Core Histology & Pathology Imaging sales for Brazil and LACAR, known as (LATAM) region. Increasing market share through effective market leadership, developing and growing our associates. Essential to this position will be the ‘drive for the results’ mindset to make true “Best Team Wins”, for Leica Biosystems and Diagnostics Platform in LATAM.

This position is part of the Commercial Management job family located in São Paulo/Parque da Cidade and will be on-site position. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, your main responsibilities would be to:

Define and drive LATAM sales strategy and market potential across all product groups in partnership with High Growth Market, Americas commercial, Services, Marketing teams and Danaher LATAM leadership. Have total access to the C-level and other relevant decision makers of our Key Accounts and Customers, and to develop and implement growth strategies of Leica Biosystems in these accounts.Be legally responsible for the local Legal Entity and to work in partnership with Danaher LATAM leadership team and to represent Leica Biosystems with the Diagnostics Platform board.Lead and drive a culture of customer centricity through enhanced visibility, product positioning, solutions development and strong funnel management across LATAM organization.Develop and grow a culture of quality and service excellence and support and lead a culture of continuous improvement via leveraging Danaher Business System and set expectations for high performance across all areas and organization levels.Attain high levels of performance of LATAM organization including coaching, developing, and providing ongoing feedback and guidance on professional development for the team.Develop an adequate level of communication and actions across the region, to support associate engagement.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Education:

Bachelor’s in Engineering or Life Sciences related

Experience:

Strong experience in relevant Commercial Roles for Direct and Indirect Sales management (+10 years)

Strong Experience in Diagnostics business, High Growth Market and matrix organization (+10 years)

Experience in managing people (+10 years)

Languages:

Fluent in English and Portuguese (Brazil)

Will be considered as a plus fluency in Spanish

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record Requirements:

Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time – within territory and international locationsMust have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess in:

MBA in Business Management, Business Acumen, or related areasKnowledge of quality systems (Six Sigma, Lean, DBS-Danaher Business Systems, other)
