What do you get to do in this position?
Schneider Electric is seeking a motivated individual to serve as H&D NAM Industrialization Chapter Leader for Component and Tooling Technologies. Individual is responsible to lead a team through all phases of the new product development cycle with adherence to Offer Lifecycle Management (OLM) and Agile Methodologies.
Responsibilities
· Manages a cross-functional team within the specific industrialization expertise domains to achieve project KPIs (metal and plastics tooling, welding, painting and surface finish)
· Experience in Capital Management for Tooling. Ability to forecast tooling needs, quote and execute projects in a timely manner.
· Engage regularly with Design Engineering management to increase efficiency in part design qualification
· Enforce Design Engineering part level maturity reviews prior to release
· Active engagement with commodity management to develop a pool of suppliers by technology and lead the technical evaluations
· Support technical audits in at supplier and operations sites to support Procurement and Supply Chain Performance activities.
· Ensure the consistency and application of Schneider global standards for tool design and establishment of production processes
· Drives a systematic process to provide multiple solutions for optimized CAPEX, OPEX, quality targets, industrial footprint and supply chain flows
· Delivers the mandatory requirements defined by GSC Strategy & Performance global team
· Strong collaboration with other OCP cross-functions such as Design, Procurement, and Quality to optimize the industrial design and offer requirements
· Develops his/her team according to the competency strategy linked to technologies and innovations. People development includes technical skills, soft skills and personal development skills.
· Ensures the successful ramp-up and transfer to the plants through definition of welcoming expectations, training and post launch support to achieve the agreed upon metrics prior to project transfer
· Aligns with other Industrialization functions across all the Business Units teams and Worldwide regions for best practices and standardization opportunities
