What you will do
You are a passionate and innovative leader who will develop and lead an integrated internal and external communications strategy. To enhance our corporate brand and reputation. Providing strategic communication direction to country leadership and business partners, strategically drive communication initiatives for corporate reputation and internal engagement to serve our ambition for business growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic communication plans, impactful storylines, and messaging themes that align with Thermo Fisher China's thought leadership topics to enhance industry leadership and brand awareness.Develop and deliver a company-wide internal communication strategy, including engagement campaigns and ongoing awareness and education of company programs and initiatives.Provide strategic communication consulting to business and country leadership, and partner with key stakeholders for China Leadership’s positioning, engagements and communications.Cultivate relationships with key media contacts and outlets, and represent Thermo Fisher China in external forums and media opportunities to elevate the company’s voice.Execute a social media strategy, including platform prioritization and growth initiatives across owned and paid social channels, in alignment with overall communication goals.Optimize communication processes and platforms, advance technology, and develop new ways of working to deliver strategic and measurable communication through all company platforms.Manage media inquiries, draft press releases, provide executive media training, respond to media, and serve as the on-call spokesperson for issues management and crisis communications.Drive collaboration between enterprise and business communications in a highly matrixed environment to ensure alignment in messaging and delivery for maximum impact.How will you get here?
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or other applicable field.10+ experience in external and internal communications with a blend of public relations, internal communications, social media, employee communications and marketing communications experience desiredVariety of relevant business experience which should demonstrate the ability to quickly study a business, understand the value-enablers, and relate to bottom-line impact, executive presenceStrong understanding of science and technology and/or experience working within a large, publicly-traded company.Problem solving skills, e.g., ability to objectively analyze current practices, identify root cause problems and improvement opportunities, formulate a range of achievable options, outline relative strengths, build consensus for a preferred solution.Results orientation, e.g., financial and general eye for business, focused on operational and process improvement to work efficiently.At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 90,000 extraordinary minds have a unique story to tell.
