About the role:
The Commercial Insights & Operations Analyst oversees a budget for materials warehousing and related services, with a focus on data-driven optimization. This role challenges conventional practices to support differentiated commercial goals through cost-benefit analysis and scenario modeling.
In close partnership with Marketing and Sales teams, this role is responsible for designing and implementing warehousing strategies informed by performance metrics, demand forecasting, and trend analysis to improve return on investment and service levels. Additionally, the role ensures a robust and agile control framework that drives both operational efficiency and compliance.
On the incentive side, the Commercial Insights & Operations Analyst leads the end-to-end design and evolution of the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), using historical and predictive data to refine critical metrics and payout structures, ensuring alignment with business strategy and global standards. The role demands a rigorous analytical approach to simulate scenarios, test incentive models, and quantify impact on performance and cost.
Role Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships with key partners to ensure efficient operations, timely reporting, audit readiness, and performance analysis for Ortelius.Document, standardize, and continuously improve processes related to Ortelius investment funds through data visualization and dashboarding.Lead deep-dive analyses of warehousing operations to identify inefficiencies, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities using critical metrics and performance benchmarks.Analyze real-time and historical data to identify trends, correlations, and areas of improvement in both Ortelius execution and SIP outcomes.Design and simulate different SIP scenarios based on varying business assumptions; provide insights to inform incentive adjustments and align behaviors with company goals.Align cross-functional team members using data-backed storytelling to drive collaboration and action.Ensure full compliance with SIP policies and internal controls, incorporating data analytics to anticipate risks and validate processes.Experience / skills required:
Analytical skills, including proficiency in deriving business insights from complex data sets.Expert-level Excel skills, including Power Query, pivot tables, nested formulas, and visual dashboards.Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to support decision-making and key partner communication.Knowledge of descriptive and predictive analytics, including trend analysis, regression modeling, and scenario planning.Ability to translate ambiguous or unstructured problems into data models and actionable plans.Basic understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles, especially in budgeting and investment analysis.Familiarity with SAP and integration of data from ERP systems into analytical workflows.Excellent communication skills to present complex findings in a simple, structured, and persuasive manner.Confirmed ability to influence cross-functional teams using data storytelling and key partner engagement.Flexible Working Statement:
