Danfoss Power Solutions has an opening for a Distribution Channel Development Manager supporting the Fluid Conveyance Division reporting to the Global Sales Support Leader. The Channel Development Manager provides leadership and direction for channel partners facilitating judicious growth dialogs and ensure they align with Danfoss’ business objectives. This position works closely with the Regional Sales Directors and Account Managers within the Americas Region to ensure alignment and execution of channel programs and other key objectives to capture market share. This position will operate remotely or within or near a US Danfoss office. Relocation is not available. Applicants must have authorization to work in the US. Support for work authorization will not be provided.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Channel Development drives strategic initiatives to generate incremental growth, profitability and market leadership through increased engagement and strategic alignment with channel partners. Engage channel partner’s senior leadership to identify both parties’ needs and expectations for the relationship and collaboratively align strategies. Manage market analytics and data identifying distributor addressable market potential to proactively direct and align channel resources to address areas of need. Establish channel messaging to set and manage expectations ensuring decisions are data driven and messaging is tailored appropriately. Identify wallet share conversion opportunities within existing channel and competitive Distributor conversion opportunities to increase loyalty, synergy sales and drive key initiatives. Oversee proactive channel management for the regions through standardized objective performance-based audits results. Manage compliancy plans, corrective actions and promotion / demotion process. Be the Channel Development single point of contact for the regions providing program expertise and strategic direction. Background & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institute or equivalent work experience; 7 to 10 years in industrial distribution sales management Minimum of 3 years of sales or marketing experience Possess strong communication skills with ability to manage challenging conversations Proficient with Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI) Possess business acumen with intellectual flexibility Ability to display a professional presence Experience building rapport and trust with customers and key stakeholders Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel domestically up to 60% Legally authorized to work in the United without company Sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA from an accredited institute 5+ years of fluid power distribution management experience
