The Data Architect is responsible for creating and maintaining the overall data architecture of an organization. This includes defining data standards, designing data models, and ensuring data quality and security. The Data Architect works closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and other IT professionals to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities: Analyzing and interpreting complex data sets using statistical and data analysis tools Developing and implementing data-driven insights and solutions Creating and presenting reports and dashboards to stakeholders Collaborating with other teams to ensure the consistency and integrity of data Providing guidance and mentorship to junior data analysts. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork. Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to perform at their best. Technical Skills

Data Strategy and Planning:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture strategy aligned with business objectives. Define data standards, policies, and procedures. Evaluate and recommend data management technologies and tools. Conduct data assessments and identify opportunities for improvement.

Data Modeling and Design:

Design and implement logical and physical data models. Develop data dictionaries and metadata repositories. Design data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Architect data warehouses, data lakes, and other data storage solutions.

Data Governance and Quality:

Establish and enforce data governance policies. Implement data quality monitoring and improvement processes. Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Manage data lineage and provenance.

Technology Evaluation and Implementation:

Evaluate and select data management technologies, including databases, cloud platforms, and data integration tools. Design and implement data pipelines and data integration solutions. Come up with industry supported architectural patterns and use cases. Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and scalability. Work with cloud-based data solutions.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements. Communicate data architecture concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team. Work with stakeholders to ensure data architecture alignment with project goals. Ability to document suggested frameworks and patterns and propose new standards, policies, guidelines, etc. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of data security and compliance regulations. Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus. Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts is a plus. Nice-to-have skills

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role. Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts. Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL). Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with ETL tools and data integration platforms. Experience with data governance and data quality management. Qualifications 11-12 years of work experience in relevant field B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university.
