The Capital Markets and Investments Consulting Director will serve as a strategic financial advisor to the Treasurer and other executive stakeholders, leading enterprise-level initiatives in capital structure, benefit investment management, corporate financing, and global cash optimization. This role drives capital allocation strategy, strengthens external financial relationships, and supports long-term value creation through data-informed investment and funding decisions.
Hybrid role: Based in Metro Atlanta Area (in-office 3 days per week).
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Capital Structure Strategy and Execution
Advise on capital deployment strategies including liquidity management, share repurchase programs, dividends, and stock splits. Analyze shareholder return profiles to inform capital allocation and investment decisions. Lead M&A funding strategies and maintain executive-level relationships with banks, rating agencies, and investment partners.Corporate Financing Leadership
Oversee capital raising efforts including commercial paper, credit facilities, and bond issuance. Ensure debt covenant compliance and lead the preparation of rating agency materials. Develop long-term financing strategies and oversee execution of debt-related activities and projections.Benefit Finance and Investment Management
Lead pension and 401(k) investment management activities, including asset allocation, investment reporting, and rebalancing. Oversee short-term investment strategies and ensure accurate actuarial assumptions for financial planning. Partner with asset managers and consultants to ensure effective benefit plan financial outcomes.Treasury and Finance Operations Enablement
Lead enterprise-wide cash flow forecasting and lease vs. buy analyses. Oversee global banking administration, foreign exchange execution, and intercompany loan management. Support treasury aspects of M&A integration, cash pooling, and global cash optimization initiatives. Required Skills and Capabilities Strong analytical and strategic advisory skills, with formal academic training in corporate finance, treasury, or financial markets. Expertise in financial modeling, capital markets operations, and investment analysis. Demonstrated ability to lead complex financial operations and drive consistently high-quality results. Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional executive communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal. Prior leadership experience in corporate finance, treasury, investment consulting, or financial markets advisory roles. Experience 9+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, treasury, investment management, or financial consulting roles. Demonstrated experience leading capital structure, financing strategy, cash management, and investment governance initiatives at scale. Prior consulting or internal advisory experience strongly preferred. Experience operating in public company environments and interacting directly with executive and board-level stakeholders.
