We are currently looking for a Raw materials Buyer f/m based in our Water Solutions production site of Greifenberg, in the area of Munich.

The Buyer is responsible for ensuring the continuous supply of high-quality raw materials and services needed for the production of DuPont’s products. The buyer will be responsible for identifying suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of materials, while maintaining the quality of the products.

This position is full-time, hybrid and temporary for one year.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for raw materials & services.Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that arise.Work closely with the production and supply chain team to ensure that materials are delivered on time.Manage inventory levels and coordinate with the production and supply chain team to ensure that materials are available when needed.Monitor market trends, and supplier pricing to identify opportunities for cost savingsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, quality control, and logistics to ensure a seamless supply chain.Work with Service Center Buyer Support for timely Order releases to the suppliers.This position reports to a Senior Buyer / Category Manager and would require working with a cross-functional team in a matrix reporting structure.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in procurement, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field of science such as Polymers or Chemicals.A minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of purchasing processes and procedures, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and inventory management.Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to make informed decisions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with SAP or any other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.Experience in sourcing of chemical and polymer materials is highly desirable.Highest standards in ethics, labor safety and sustainability.Strong negotiation skills.Excellent communication and networking skills.Comfortable in working in an international diverse environment.Proficiency in German and English languages are a must.
