Job Description
The Independent Moving Cart Business Unit - develops and manufactures assembly automation, material handling and transportation solutions using electro-magnetic technology, specifically linear synchronous motors (LSM) and controls
This position is responsible for planning, and implementing the strategy for the technical sales/business development of the products within the China regions. Provide critical support for key accounts. Work with the Sales teams throughout the region to uncover new opportunities and make sales to both existing and new customers.
Responsibilities
Provide strategy and sales guidance for the responsible productConduct regular sales calls, uncover and develop new opportunities, promote the technology, and grow customer relationshipsNegotiate and quote prices, terms of sales and service agreementsWork the sales process through closing and finalizing contracts.Forecast long range account sales, inventory levels and product needs.Interface with BU Engineering to resolve complex product issues.Promote products and services at trade shows, conference calls, and in-region trainingProvide best practice documentation including recording important work and milestones in company databaseManage distributors by providing sales assistance and ensure customer satisfactionRequirements
Professionally qualified with a Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent.Minimum of 5-8 years of technical sales or business development or presale technical support experience preferably in the industrial automation industry.Knowledge of motion controls, electric motors and automation technologyRegional exposure and proven track record in Field Sales, Business Management and Product Management roles with effective interaction with a Sales Organization and Customers.Ability to travel within China > 30%Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
