A seasoned data professional with a passion for delivering insightful and influential solutions to challenging and ambiguous problems. A practiced analyst, who uses data engineering, statistics, data visualization, and data science to influence decision making in cross-functional teams. We are seeking an individual who can think holistically through compound problems to understand how systems work together to define and execute projects which drive improvements to robotic architecture or design.
Key job responsibilities
You will work cross-functionally with the field support teams throughout the organization to deliver projects aimed at characterizing, monitoring, and improving the performance of new robotic automation technology across all of Amazon's fulfillment and sortation network. In this role, you will use a combination of unified and disparate data sources to uncover insights delivered through decision-driving analytics white-papers and automated data visualizations to influence the development and deployment of cutting-edge robotic technology. You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Program Managers to define and deliver world class analytics tools and insights to shape the robotic technology landscape.
About the team
The Performance Analytics and Field Insights (P&I) team at Amazon Robotics (AR) develops comprehensive analytics products and services that provide deep insights into the performance of AR’s network and its causal factors. Leveraging data-driven approaches, robotics expertise, and operational knowledge, this team develops methodologies to proactively identify network issues and provide recommendations to optimize system performance for all AR solutions and customers. This team’s outcomes empower service and support teams with predictive insights, proactive network monitoring capabilities, and risk assessments to enable an Always Ready support approach.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- • Ability to consume and manipulate large data sets to build streamlined research and have the ability to articulate its business impact
- • Experienced with data visualization using Tableau or similar BI tools to create end-to-end dashboard solutions and reports which effectively convey results to a wide range of users
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis
- Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business
