**Who we are** By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud. This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life. **What you’ll be doing** + Ensuring that IT services and infrastructure remain available, minimizing downtime while optimizing performance. + Developing and implementing strategies to ensure service availability, including capacity planning and disaster recovery. + Continuously monitoring IT service performance and generating reports on availability metrics. + Managing incidents that impact service availability and ensuring timely resolution. + Identifying and addressing underlying issues to prevent future disruptions. + Ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and collaborating with stakeholders to refine them. + Working closely with IT teams—including network management, application support, and security—to coordinate availability efforts. + Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service performance and reliability. + Maintaining documentation of availability management processes, procedures, and metrics. + Integrating supplier availability management processes with customer and third-party vendor frameworks. + Optimizing cost, reliability, and performance across IT infrastructure. + Deploying and maintaining an Availability Management Information System (AMIS) to support accurate forecasting. + Regularly updating the AMIS with relevant changes, including configuration item updates. + Retaining availability source data for at least 12 months to support analysis and decision-making. **What You’ll Bring Along** + Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred + Minimum 7-10 years of experience in availability management or IT infrastructure roles. + Expertise in availability management principles and best practices. + Familiarity with the ITIL framework and service management methodologies. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for optimizing IT service availability. + Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive improvements. + Experience with availability management tools and software. + Knowledge of capacity planning and disaster recovery strategies. + Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or other relevant credentials. + Excellent command of both spoken and written English **What’s in it for you** ✔ New beginnings can be a challenge.
