Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering from an accredited institution required

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with industrial automation control systems software (Rockwell / Allen Bradley preferred – RS logix, RS linx, Factory Talk View, etc.)Programming experience, preferably with Python, .NET, JavaBasic knowledge of writing SQL queries and stored procedures, creating database schema and other back-end database functions as needed to support applicationsBasic knowledge of TCP/IP and Ethernet networks, especially industrial communications protocols (Modbus, Ethernet I/P, OPC, etc.)

Job Summary: This position will be instrumental in supporting and designing digital automation systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, and their integration with ERP systems and plant operations.

 Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Development and support of SCADA and MES software applications, primarily using the Inductive Automation Ignition platform.Maintenance and development of database schema as needed to support applications.Ability to read and interpret ladder logic programs used by control systems.Support/train manufacturing operators on the use of digital systems and software.Documentation of all changes to production programs and maintaining revision control of software.Ensure compliance with security standards for automation systems and process control networks, coordinating with IT infrastructure teams as neededProject management and management of outside sources contracted for automation projects.Support Manufacturing/Process owners in process improvement initiatives.Other duties as assigned.
