Job Specifications
Basic Qualifications:
Engineering or Engineering Technology degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing or Engineering work experience Working knowledge of AutoCAD Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems to include hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, control systems and measurement feedback systems Working knowledge of Rockwell Automation, and Fanuc control systems Experience programming industrial robots Experience working with CNC lathes and mills

This position is responsible for leading new automation development projects including level 1, 2 and 3 systems, supporting production equipment troubleshooting, leading automation upgrade projects for existing assets.

Job Requirements
Collaborates with plant personnel (Maintenance and Production) on problem solving activities, cost reduction initiatives and performance efficiency improvements of manufacturing equipment and processes Supports Maintenance and Production daily to meet production targets Defines the scope and schedule of improvement projects Owns the data collection and visualization systems for production control and monitoring Collaborates with the quality and IT departments on paperless shop floor production control systems This role is based in the HES in Cleveland, but requires frequent travel to our machine shop in Brecksville, OH based on project assignments.
