Role Overview: We are seeking an ambitious Associate Material Artist to join our Environment Art team. The right candidate will have a passion for creating compelling and lifelike materials working closely with our Lead Material Artist.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as a team with programmers, artists and other Artists/technical artistsContent integration in Unreal EngineStay abreast of current next gen technology and look for ways to incorporate new techniques to enhance visual quality and performance using Unreal Engine 4Work with managers to plan work and create deadlinesProactively report to project leadership and collaborate closely with the Art Manager to identify project risks, team needs, and advise on best practicesPerform other duties as needed in a willing and cooperative manner (be a helpful team member)Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, plus a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in 2D/3D animation, graphic design or video gamesProficient with 2D and 3D software suites, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, 3DS Max, Maya, Zbrush, etc.Ability to conceptualize ideas, produce concept art, storyboards, or mockups as needed and revise quicklyA well-developed sense of color and composition is criticalNice to have
Experience as an Artist in the industry is a plusExperience with shaders and rendering in Maya, ZBrushWorking experience in the Unreal Engine including scene assembly, materials, lighting, terrain sculpting.How We Get Things Done…
