Are you ready to join our talented and dedicated team at Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi and take your career to new heights? **What are we looking for?** The Assistant Marketing & Communications Manager plays an essential role in supporting the Marketing & Communications Manager in achieving key objectives outlined in the annual marketing and PR plan\. This role directly contributes to the success of all resort revenue\-generating areas — including Food & Beverage, Spa, Gym, Kids’ Club, Dive and Water Sports Centre, Tennis, Accommodations, Weddings, and Destination Dining — by helping to drive visibility, engagement, and commercial performance\. The position involves managing individual projects across marketing, media relations, social media, and internal communications, while performing day\-to\-day administrative duties to the highest standards\. It is key to creating a consistent multi\-channel experience for our guests and maintaining a powerful online and offline brand presence\. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: **What will I be doing?** **Strategic Support & Cross\-Department Coordination** + Assist the Marketing & Communications Manager in executing the annual marketing and PR strategy to meet hotel business needs\. + Collaborate closely with all revenue departments to support campaigns, promotions, and initiatives that drive commercial results\. + Contribute to projects designed to increase resort awareness across all relevant target markets **Digital Marketing & Online Presence** + Support the planning, execution, and performance tracking of digital marketing campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels\. + Manage and maintain hotel presence on digital platforms, including CMS, CRM, ORM, and email tools\. + Monitor key performance indicators such as web traffic, conversion rates, and digital ROI\. + Conduct regular benchmarking and competitor analysis to ensure strong digital positioning **Social Media Management** + Oversee daily social media activity, including content planning, creation, scheduling, publishing, and engagement\. + Develop and manage a monthly content calendar aligned with the marketing strategy and brand tone\. + Work with internal teams to gather creative assets and stories to feature across platforms\. + Analyze social media performance metrics and recommend improvements for growth and engagement **Public Relations & Media Engagement** + Support the execution of PR strategies and media outreach to promote hotel offerings, events, and experiences\. + Maintain strong relationships with media and press contacts and act as a liaison with PR agencies\. + Coordinate press visits, interviews, filming, and photo shoots; ensure necessary approvals and hospitality arrangements are in place\. + Keep press kits, media databases, and coverage records updated and assist in compiling regular PR performance reports\. **Events & Activations** + Be present and actively involved during hotel events, assisting with media coverage and live social content\. + Ensure events and special campaigns are supported across all channels and aligned with brand messaging\. + Collaborate with internal teams to prepare promotional materials, visuals, and media support before each event **Brand Campaigns & Partnerships** + Assist in implementing marketing campaigns for rooms, dining, spa, and seasonal offerings\. + Support initiatives tied to brand partnerships and loyalty programs \(e\.g\. Hilton Honors\)\. + Coordinate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in branding and messaging **Administrative & Reporting Duties** + Handle administrative responsibilities including purchase requests, complimentary tracking, database maintenance, and budget documentation\. + Assist in preparing weekly/monthly reports on marketing and communications activity and ROI\. + Maintain up\-to\-date documentation of departmental activities and ensure all projects are well\-tracked and reported **What do I need?** + Previous experience of working in a marketing and PR role for the hospitality industry + Able to speak further key business languages + Knowledge of creative, descriptive or effective writing + Education of previous marketing, communication and/or Digital Marketing experience + Proven experience of working to and understanding key marketing and PR disciplines, plans and strategies + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, budget management and project and time management + Exhibits previous experience of written work in a communications role + Experience of working with media and design agencies **What will it be like to work for Hilton?** Hilton is the leading global hospitality company, spanning the lodging sector from luxurious full\-service hotels and resorts to extended\-stay suites and mid\-priced hotels\.
