**Area Leader - Vespel®**
The Vespel® team is seeking an **Area Leader** at the Circleville, Ohio facility—30 miles south of Columbus, Ohio. This role will work with a diverse team to improve our competitive advantage for the manufacturing of Vespel® Polyimide Resins.
This role reports to the Vespel® Unit Leader and is responsible for Front-Line Leaders, Operations Technicians, and other support staff. The Area Leader role will provide strategic and tactical direction to the safe manufacture of high quality Vespel® Resins that satisfies the requirements for Vespel® Parts and Shapes production while delivering on Environmental, Health, Safety, and other Key Performance metrics.
**Core Responsibilities:**
+ Sets expectations and is accountable for unit’s performance including EHS, PSM, cost, quality, capital, production and associated tracking systems.
+ Accountable for maintaining and improving the unit culture in alignment with DuPont Core Values on EHS, Respect for People, Ethical Behavior, and Sustainability.
+ Provides Felt Leadership on Core Values performance for the area, including ensuring regulatory compliance, and compliance with area/site safety rules and policies. Ensures PSM compliance in facility. This facility is considered an OSHA High Hazard Process.
+ Provides leadership and daily direction for the area including daily production execution to plan.
+ Establishes clear expectations with an overall high bar for performance and drives accountability and continuous improvement with the Line Organization.
+ Drives continuous improvement in key production metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Yield, and Quality.
+ Collaborates with supply chain and quality teams on issues such as production schedule and product quality.
+ Coaches and develops direct reports and cultivates atmosphere of learning and development in the broader Team.
+ Operational Excellence leader and project coordinator for cross functional teams to drive improvements in area performance.
+ Leads Root Cause Failure Analysis for incidents and drives resolution and error-proofing actions.
+ Owns and manages the areas infrastructure capabilities and resource plan.
+ Establishes and maintains strong rapport across the organization to enable and foster teamwork, collaboration, ownership, and performance.
+ Responsible for the operation of a 24-hour, 7 days a week, production with support from other leaders.
+ Visible and accessible leader to the organization.
**Required qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, or Equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years of industrial experience
+ 3+ years Manufacturing leadership leading people, quality, maintenance, reliability, and EHS
+ Demonstrated record of driving change, elevating performance and delivering results
+ Strong understanding and demonstrated commitment to operational discipline and Process Safety Management
+ Experience driving key production metrics (Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Yield, Quality, etc.)
+ Effective communication skills
+ Experience in implementing Manufacturing systems (OpEx/Lean)
+ Cost management experience
+ Strategic Planning and business analysis experience (to set priorities and provide direction)
+ Teambuilding and demonstrated ability to lead a respectful work environment where everyone can contribute to their full potential.
+ TEEP/OEE expertise
