Application Engineering Manager - Climate Solutions
Job Description

Danfoss Korea is seeking an Application Engineering Manager with deep expertise in HVAC&R and strong leadership skills. This role will oversee customer technical support, solution proposals, and team management within the Korean market, playing a key role in driving business growth and technological differentiation.

 

This position requires specialized knowledge in refrigeration and air conditioning system design, application technologies, and regulatory understanding. Experience in research and development is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following.

Develop and execute application engineering strategy in Korea. Lead and mentor a team of application engineers specializing in HVAC&R technologies. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to provide customer-centric technical support. Ensure optimal product selection and customization to meet customer needs and comply with local regulations. Conduct customer workshops, training sessions, and technical seminars. Provide technical feasibility assessments and documentation from project initiation. Serve as the key technical liaison between regional customers and global product development teams. Align technical strategic directions with internal and external stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance energy efficiency. Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the HVAC&R field, with expertise in system design and application technologies. At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role, demonstrating team leadership and mentoring capabilities. Experience in research and development is preferred. Strong communication skills, customer-oriented mindset, and a strong team player. Proficiency in Korean and English. Relevant Korean certifications, such as: Engineer Refrigeration and Air-conditioning (냉동공조기사) Certified Energy Manager (에너지관리기능사 or 에너지관리기사) Construction Equipment Engineer (설비기사) Building Services Engineer (건축설비기사) Employee Benefits
