The Account Director UK&I will manage and grow the highest value and largest potential Share of Wallet Key accounts for Owned & Operated Hotels across the UK & Ireland on a national level. This role is responsible for creating and communicating account strategies to drive increased market share and demonstrate clear value to internal stakeholders and external customers. The Account Director UK&I is responsible for the highest performing TOP UK&I based accounts, focusing 100% on the domestic market. With a strong passion for building and developing relationships, the ideal candidate will possess a solid commercial background within the hotel industry and proven experience working with UKI-based partners. This role is exclusively focused on Owned & Operated UK&I hotels. The position is hybrid with an office base at Hilton London Kensington. Frequent travel within the UK & Ireland is required, including visits to London, as well as attendance at customer engagements, UK&I tradeshows, and sales missions.

\n\nDevelops strategies and directions for accounts in remit.\nIdentifies and evaluates business opportunities for the company and directs accordingly.\nExecutes strategic account development plans and supports communications of key messages internally and externally.\nDevelops plans to implement long term goals for the business that are the basis for short term goals and annual operational planning.\nDevelops appropriate objectives for team and directs their achievement.\nAccountable for the delivery of the strategy and activities of the sales function.\nTotal account management focus.\nQuickly determine the segments within the account that provide the greater opportunities.\n\n\n
Organizing Activities 35%
\n\nImplements plans to ensure overall strategic direction is consistent and supported by other areas.\nIdentifies resources, oversees activities and confers with key stakeholders to ensure objectives of the team and sales function are accomplished.\nDirects assignment of tasks ensuring optimum allocation of resources.\nEnsures management communication plan is properly executed.\nOversees and evaluates business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.\nMonitors and reviews the impact of marketing initiatives on the account strategy.\nEstablishes and develops effective working relationships with key customers.\nNetworks with sub account handlers\nStrengthens relationship with UK&I Owned and Operated hotels.\nWorks the opportunities via third parties.\nBuilds, implements and communicates the account strategies, delivering the expected targets.\nDevelops Account Plans that specify objectives, timescales and sales methods to support the defined account strategy and ensures maximum opportunity for account penetration.\nAccurately identifies the level of influence and decision making power of contacts in the customer organization and uses these to secure business.\nAccountable for communicating the strategy, ADP and activities on a quarterly basis, along with relevant issues, opportunities and successes. \n\n\n
Directing & Controlling Activities 15%
\n\nReviews Account Development Plans on a quarterly basis, updating records accordingly.\nImplements account specific marketing initiatives to help drive the business.\nAgrees marketing activity to underpin the account strategies and deliver increased customer / market share.\nWorks within approved budgets and adjusts activities and expenses to ensure optimal financial results.\nTo provide accurate management reports to review account performance and communicate future plans.\nReviews customer base to determine new opportunities for account penetration.\n\n\n

Tradeshow & Sales Missions
\nIn addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position will be required to perform the following supportive function, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the line managed based upon the particular requirements of the company.

Preferred
\n\nA graduate of a hospitality management school, Hotel Management School or a similar degree.\nKnowledge of Salesforce, Delphi or a similar database/reservations system \nHospitality industry experience preferred in Sales, Marketing, Revenue or Operating roles. \nIn-depth knowledge of business sector(s) they manage.\nUK&I Key account management experience advantageous.\n\nEVERY JOB MAKES THE STAY.
